On behalf of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches I ask that all of us find time to hold all those injured in the attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday in our hearts. 

As the terrible news filtered through, it became clear that not only had there been eight bomb blasts but that the targets specifically chosen for attack had been worshippers and holiday-makers, and over 200 have died as a result.

New General Assembly Chief Officer

The Executive Committee is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Slade has been appointed as Chief Officer of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches. She will join us on 18 March 2019 and then undertake a full induction programme to familiarise herself with the national movement and our key external partners.

Faith leaders call for culture of sanctuary

Yesterday, on Epiphany, the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches joined other faith groups in calling on the government to take urgent action on refugees and to transform the "hostile environment" into a culture of sanctuary.
