General Assembly President Rev Charles VanDenBroeder led the Unitarian group at London Pride on Saturday 8 July 2017. He was joined by London District minister, Rev Martin Whittle, and congregational ministers; Rev John Carter, Rev Lewis Connolly, Rev Daniel Costley and Rev Kate Dean along with Chief Officer, Derek McAuley. The Unitarian group of more than forty received an enthusiastic welcome from the crowds gathered along the route. Among the messages promoted in colourful flags were that Unitarians values equality and diversity, welcomed refugees and that Unitarian churches and chapels are amongst the few religious buildings where same sex couples can legally get married. We were proud to walk behind the banner proclaiming "Unitarians welcome all God's Children" with the colours of the rainbow.
