1. Thinking of training for the Unitarian ministry?

Applications for training beginning in Autumn 2018 should be received by Monday 2 October 2017. Short-listed applicants will be called for interview at Oxford on 4 – 5 January 2018.

The format of training provision is currently under review and the 2018 intake will have the opportunity to engage in a more flexible approach to training.

2. Unitarian Theology Conference 2017 – “500 Years On - The Reformation Must Continue!”

Programme:

Friday 13 October, 11.30 am to 5.45pm  - "On God"

Speakers: Jane Blackall, Rev Lewis Connolly, Rev Ant Howe

Followed at 7.15pm by Informal discussion in the Chapel and "pub theology."

Saturday 14 October, 9.30am to 3.00pm -  "On Unitarianism"

Speakers: Stephen Lingwood, Justin Meggit, Rev Dr Ann Peart
Panel: Claire MacDonald, Lucy Harris, Robin Hanford

The conference will take place at Mill Hill Unitarian Chapel, City Square, Leeds, LS1 5EB (two minute walk from Leeds Railway Station). Bring your own lunches or buy nearby. No entry charge. No need to book a place. Donations to cover costs gratefully received. Plenty of reasonably priced hotels nearby. The talks will be filmed by UK Unitarian TV.

3. Memorial Service – Mrs Margaret Knight

A memorial service for Mrs Margaret Knight, former President of the Unitarian Women's League from 1987 to 1988, and widow of Rev Sydney Knight, former Minister of St. Saviourgate Unitarian Chapel, will be held at the York Unitarian Chapel in St. Saviourgate, York, YO1 8NQ on Saturday 23 September 2017 at 4pm. The service will be conducted by Rev Margaret Kirk. All are welcome.
